Topic is the paltry amount of Big12 players (18) invited to the NFL Combine as compared to the SEC (66).
Enjoy! .... I know I did.
"It's fun to win recruiting wars and have players in the league, but the #1 goal is to win college football games."
Counterpoint: "Well, we haven't done that either, so ....."
"No way to sugar coat it. Sickening that [A&M] is sending half as many players as our entire conference."
"The SEC is on another level compared to this sh-t heap of a conference. A&M alone is sending 9. We need to take our head out of the sand and realize the SEC pitch MATTERS to recruits."
"And to think as crappy as the talent is in the Big 12, Texas is about a .500 team the last 7 years and has two Big12 championships in about 20 yrs .... Pretty pathetic."
"Get your head out of the sand! You can't win at any level of football if you don't have horses on the DL and OL. Even if the Big12 gets to the playoffs, they will be destroyed because they can't stop the run or run the ball; just like OU against Clemson two years ago."
"BTW, the 40% more teams [in the SEC as compared to the Big12] isn't a valid excuse either because it's not 18 players (Big12) to 16 players (SEC) .... it's 18 TOTAL Big12 players compared to 16 SEC DEFENSIVE LINEMAN."
"Stop making excuses for the Big12."
"Amazing that some people still don't get it. The SEC is so far ahead of us that they're about to lap us."
"I never said the SEC wasn't superior, I just don't agree that it has almost lapped us like the poster I responded to said."
"SEC - 14 teams
Big12 - 10 teams
Therefore, size factor = 1.4
Big12 = 18 invites x size factor of 1.4 = 25 adjusted for size of conference.
SEC - 66 invites
Big12 - 25 invites (adjusted for size)
Lap Calculation = 66/25 = 2.64
Yes, the SEC has lapped us."
