The biggest achievement by our little brother sips' football program in the past 5 years? Some players at Louisville got drafted.

well he won more than ole kevin sumlin. he won a bcs game by destroying an sec team.
quote:
Yet he didn't win any big titles at Louisville either. How many NFL level talented players will it take for him to win?

Who finished ranked higher that season again?
quote:How did he do against an SEC team with those superior players from the state of Texas?
well he won more than ole kevin sumlin. he won a bcs game by destroying an sec team.
quote:Hmmm. That was the same season Strong got curbstomped 45-26 by a mediocre 7-5 Syracuse team and lost 23-20 to a terrible 5-7 Uconn team, correct? Lol. Wear that concave burnt orange cardinal UL/utx tshirt with pride, sip.
he won a bcs game by destroying an sec team.
quote:One thing is for certain, Strong loves playing SEC teams. That's why he put up a whole 59 yards against the 12th best SEC team and refuses to walk into College Station.
well he won more than ole kevin sumlin. he won a bcs game by destroying an sec team.

quote:Add to that Louisville didn't even win the Big East the season of the Sugar Bowl win over Florida. It was a 4 way tie with Rutgers, Syracuse and Cinci. Louisville got the BCS nod because the tie breaker was the BCS rankings and Louisville was ranked the highest among those four teams in an 8 team league.
I'll side with the Horn on this one. The 2012 Sugar Bowl was a legitimate win.
I don't mind being honest and giving credit where it's due. However, let's be honest about Charlie's success at Louisville:
- Kentucky was his only regularly scheduled Power 5 opponent. Kentucky won 4 SEC games during Strong's tenure, including an 0-16 streak his final two years.
- Oregon St (loss) and North Carolina (Loss/Win) were his other Power 5 OOC opponents.
- Bowl games, with weeks of preparation, were his only other Power 5 matches (2-1; Wins over Florida and Miami - loss to NC State.)
- Excluding Louisville, the Big East/AAC only had three teams end the season ranked in the Top 25 during Stong's tenure. Charlie went 1-2 against those teams (2011: #23 Cincinatti - L; #17 West Virginia - W) (2013: #10 UCF -L)
- Two of those seasons (2010 & 2012) featured no ranked conference opponents.
That's 6 Power 5 teams played in four years, two years with no ranked conference opponents, and only three ranked conference opponents total. Please understand the amusement when comparing Sumlin in the SEC to Charlie in the Big East. There's a reason his best bowl win only placed him in the middle of the Top 25.

You know who came in last in the SEC West? The school that put an apple in your mouth and spit roasted you on a crimson hog Cock on national TV in your bowl game. The one who held us to 523 yards, and you to 59. You sound pretty ****ing stupid.

What did Strong mean when he said he didn't want to walk into College Station right now?
Thanks.
