Now that their coach is on record saying that the Texas Aggies aren't the kind of team they need to be playing right now, I wonder if this will shut up some of the t-shirt dip****s trying to run smack about us ducking them to play a better team in a bowl game.

Anyone that thinks the series won't resume at some point is delusional. However, the hiatus may continue for a number of years.
I think our Administraion has taken the correct approach all along - anytime anywhere. It was tu who made it go away and acted like the game wasn't important. While I want the rivalry to continue the same way that many of our conference mates play their in state OOC rivals, I do think more separation is needed. tu needs more time in the woods and they need more a few more bowls of humble pie. After all, they did wreck two conferences.

I think that our next meeting or two with the sips will be in a Bowl Game, but not for another few years. The sips will be lucky to go 6-6 this year and even make a bowl. Once we have met in a bowl or two then they will start trying to make it a regular thing. My guess minimum of 10 years away, maybe closer to 20.

The series will resume at some point and it will be a good thing for both schools. It's also likely to resume in the same fashion as it has in the last several decades - a fairly even series with a few small streaks in there and upsets along the way.
