Wha? This sounds so stupid.
Have a beer(s) and read again.
We will be nationally relevant. You and the 40 acres will be unhappy. We will be performing on a "national stage" (primetime television against marquee opponents) and Tex will not. Sip hubris won't allow you to watch our games so you'll tune in somewhere outside of the stadium and outside of your home in hopes of an Aggie loss.
Short version: We will be relevant and trending upwards and Tex won't. You'll be miserable and still believe "we are Texas".
Your National Stage appearance usually ends with poor results.
You mean more of the same?
Sips Steve's goal is getting Agggeygygyyg to start pounding the renewal drum in Woodard's ears because the sip home football schedule has been boring as F and will remain a massive group sleep study until the BDF eventually implodes. But, Steve can't just come out and say "we EFFed up and the Aggies out-smarted us and now we need the Aggies" because the Joneses are smarter than God and they don't need anybody. He must maintain the appearance of superiority and employ the burnt orange manipulation playbook:
1. Ridicule
2. Shame
3. Downplay
4. Deflect
5. Condescend
6. Repeat 1-5
7. ???
8. Profit
The above quote by Sip Steve was obviously ridicule and downplay, but did you notice the touch of condescension by subtly suggesting that our efforts to establish a national presence have been a failure and are futile? The underlying message: our best option is to abandon that campaign and re-schedule the sips.
These people (all of them) are excellent at graciously advising the "less fortunate" on their best options. It is mere coincidence that those "best options" happen to benefit the MFing longhorns.
Have any of you REALLY missed these rubber-dong wavers?
I am honestly enjoying the complete apathy that has settled in on t-sip nation. We need a few more decades of it.
