Do you honestly believe that OU brings in the viewership and revenue Texas does, even in years that they are playing for and winning a MNC? I think you are naive to think they do.

I'm not b****ing at all, I don't care what happens, but making a statement like that is naive. Do you not think it is Texas best interest to get as much money as possible? I do and I think it is in A&M's best interest to do the same.

As Muy pointed out in another thread, it is in Texas's best interest in the SHORT TERM to try and hop to another conference or go independent. Long-term, they are better off being a team player, shutting their ****ing mouths, putting down their ****ing horn signs, and working in the give-and-take world of collegiate athletics. Have you no sense of tradition or pride in your university's history? You'd jump without looking after 10 short years of moderate success with a good coach? You all have been good in the last 10 years, but it wasn't always so, and it won't always be that way. Open your eyes, or at least shut your mouths.

no missy, not from a conference stand point. The horns may get more money going to the B10 or else where but that doesn't mean it's the best thing for them long term.

IMO the best thing long term is for the B12 to grow and have each member get better. That's not going to happen if you don't share the money.

BQ- are you an Obama supporter? He said the same thing about sharing the wealth and spreading it around.

Because taxing citizens and conference members sharing money are the exact same thing. Hope you didn't pull a hamstring on that one.

The current system is working out pretty well for us I'd say.

Again, makes no difference Texas will do what's best for Texas, just like A&M will do if and when Texas leaves the Big 12.

The weirdest part of the recent discussions of this topic is the general lack of understanding that neither UT nor A&M is going to another conference alone - only with the other. When they do, it will be to the financial benefit of both.
