Warning: Old man yells at clouds
I've lived in my house in a nice typical middle class neighborhood for 30 years. There's been a rent house next door for most of that time, but I've never had any issue with the tenants there... until now. For the past two years I've had to deal with a multi-family crowd of Mexicans there, most of whom don't speak english. There are as many as 8 cars in this house that's probably around 1800 sq ft. My first encounter was the first night they moved in with music pounding from inside their house that I was hearing in my house.
They love to work on their cars. They'll rev the engines late at night. Sit out in their car with their loud engine running at 11pm. And they're constantly shuffling cars around because there are so many. They'll peel out down the road, leaving the neighborhood, and tearing down the street by our neighborhood. I can literally hear them for about 3-5 minutes as they're racing away.
I've confronted them about loud cars late at night, but they no comprende.
They also have a 4 year old kid that I've seen take a wiz in the front yard with an adult out there with him, watching him. Lovely.
They have a recliner that you'd expect to see in a living room in their front yard, and a washer and dryer on their driveway.
And then they got ****ing chickens and I had to listen to them crow at ****ing 7am. Yeah yeah, that's normal in the country, but this isn't the country. ALL of these things are abnormal for this neighborhood. I don't hear a peep from anyone else on this street.
Now they put a VERY bright light up in their tree that's on all night, shining into my house.
Every couple of months they add a new thing that no one else does here.
I have called the owner of the house. She says there's only supposed to be two of them living there and will talk to them. Nothing has happened of course.
I called the police about the chickens since there is a noise ordinance dealing with loud birds. I was surprised to see that apparently the loud rooster is gone now. The hen that's left makes low clucking noises and is sometimes on my property.
I don't know if there's much else I can do about them, but by all means if anyone has any ideas let me know. I just had to vent. If they're still there for a 3rd year I'm seriously going to consider moving.
