HAR just released February data. Inventory down to 1.6 months of supply, and average/median pricing up 16.2%/12.6% YOY. Going to be a crazy year.

Tyler claims to have no inventory (it must be getting really bad!), and Median price for closed properties is up 15.1% YOY.

Tarrant County homes are flying off the shelves as the data suggests.

Have a friend in Dallas County where the home they own is basically in south west dallas near the ghetto and they will make over 100% profit on it in under 5 years of ownership. They are looking to move out of it but can't find anything under $500,000 unless something is wrong with it.

nearly 30% jump in one year is insane!

It seems like typical sales price for homes in the DFW Metro is asking price + 10%. Not always, where sometimes more and sometimes less. But if you're in the under $500K range and in particular in the $200-$400K range, it's pretty fierce out there.
