I think there was also another murder suicide, but couldn't find the info. Similar thing though, father killed kids and wife then himself.

He was legit off the deep end and that either the govt. or aliens were after them.

Not that any of that matters.

How aggressive is your agent marketing your house? I'm not an agent, but there are lots on here you should reach out to one (one you would use, imo) and explain your situation and see what their thoughts are.

Wild market over here in San Marcos. Started hunting in early April, took until mid-June to go under contract because all our offers were beat by investors and such.

Deets? We are in the market for a 4 br. Seems like reasonably priced homes are still moving pretty quickly.

Booming.

It's weird but all my millennials friends in Htown either live there, or want to live there. Even those with 1-2 kids/babies. They love how close it is to the city and it's not the burbs. I don't think many of them will move for a long time if they can avoid it.

Where as my dallas peeps all move further and further north to get a bigger house. Definitely a weird dynamic.

We have a three bedroom, two full bath and two half bath

Probably less than what you are looking for.

We are looking/needing to move since wife is pregnant with 4th girl, we are going to need more space with 4 teenage girls in the house at the same time

We're in that same boat

Moved here 6 years ago with two kids (2 & 3) at the time and for us the heights area is ideal place to live. We are looking to stay in the same area but more space

I couldn't see ANY situation where we would want I move out to the burbs, they are great but just not for us

We're in our mid 30's guess we're millennials lol

Seems like for the same price y'all could buy further west Around memorial and the beltway out to memorial and hwy6 and get better schools and more house while not in the burbs.

Moved from the heights out to hear a few years ago and love it while feeling like I'm not to far from intown.
I can get to memorial park in about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. I get the heights and loved it there but we couldn't affford the house we would need to raise three kids and also wanted a quiet street they could ride their bikes in while insulated from a lot of the crap that surrounds the heights.

I must admit tho that the goin our and everything that the heights offered and still does isn't really an option or appealing anymore with 3 little ones.

But honestly we found a honey hole out west with a neighborhood that is basically all low 30's to 40's with kids who like golf carts and booze.

as an update we got an offer on the house (its on 23rd) after being on the market for fourteen days, we are less than one block from Crisp, down the street from Tonys and close enough to 19th and 20th street that you can walk there but far enough that you can not hear alot of the noise.

a younger family with one kid ended up buying the house which is common for the area, lot of families with young kids in the area. It was a great house when we bought it, we had two young kids (2-4 yrs) but now are going to have 4 kids in the next 6 months so we outgrew the house.

we are headed over to timbergrove which is still close to friends and all the things everyone in our family does and enjoys.

Welcome, you'll enjoy Timbergrove. Should be quite a bit quieter and still close to all those things without having to worry if the latest bar will pop up on the lot next to yours.

I'm in fleetwood,
Have about 12-15 Families that we hang out with regularly. Annual golf trip, happy hours, dinners late night golf carts , pool parties, bbq's Etc etc . Then we have bigger neighborhood Halloween parties, Mardi Gras, movie nights on the berm etc etc. everyone is mid 30's professionals with kids newborn to 12 years old
I love it here and don't plan on moving for a long time and unless work moves them, most of the friends in the hood feel the same way.

If it's something that you might be interested in, I can let you know the real estate trends, what's been selling etc as I keep up with it really closely.

My family and I are at Memorial and Wilcrest on a cul de sac. Great neighborhood for both parents and kids with great schools.

The wife and I have been discussing our 5 year plan to move, but stay within the area so if you are interested and want details on the neighborhood or my house just let me know.

We are looking to move in that area, so I'd love some info on that neighborhood (or house if you're looking to sell and HillCountryAg isn't interested). Not meaning to just jump in

We really like the neighborhood. It's conveniently located and safe, though there will be an occasional theft report from time to time. Its very social with lots of activities. You can be as involved as you want to be. I'm part of the neighborhood men's club which has quite a few events throughout the year from BBQs at the pool, football & softball tournaments and an annual washers tournament. Lots of Ags.

As far as the house, we don't have it on the market, but wouldn't necessarily be opposed if we connected with the right buyer. It would just expedite the 5 year plan. If it's of interest just shoot me an email at username @ Gmail and I can share the details.
