- turning a rental after 2 year tenant
- overall good tenants, tidy, clean, easy to do business with, always on-time, etc
- 2 big, old dogs (approved in advance, paid pet deposit, etc)
- anecdotal info (maybe?) one of the old dogs passed away a few months back
- all floors replaced in 2017 so brand new for these tenants
- Upstairs carpet and downstairs engineered hardwood
- Carpet and hard wood floors professionally shampood/deodorized after tenants moved out
- ...but house still smells like old dog
- Several people have been through house post-deodorizing and all agree it still smells more like wet dog (vs a pet urine smell)
- And everyone is 99% sure the smell is coming from downstairs and most likely from the engineered floors
- But no one can pinpoint "where" exactly the odor is coming from
anyone have experience getting the smell out of engineered floors?
