I've done a lot of deals but this one I'm most proud of.

Great story and I LOVE the home. Congratulations on your success! I am working to build a story that can be told, yesterday was a hard day where it all seems so far away, so difficult to achieve. I appreciate you sharing your story here as a positive way to start my day off!

I'd love to hear more, have you ever met Joe Fairless or considered telling it on his podcast? He's a DFW multifamily guy and awesome interviewer.

Thank you for the kind words mwp02ag.

Lots of irons in the fire and risk taking but it's been fun to say the least. The hard work finally paid off and gaining lots of interest in our forever home. Attention to detail is a lost art and I can say if I'm decent at anything it's that - OCD at it's finest for sure. Not big on social media or telling my story but I figured I'd share the publication here. I've heard of Joe Fairless and would share on his podcast although it might be a boring listen.

Cheers!

I love that mid century modern look, I just never knew that's what it's called. How big is the lot you built your house on? We have an acre in New Braunfels we're planning to build on within the next year and I'm just trying to envision the layout.

Great house and great article.

Our entire footprint/siteplan lays out nicely on .75 of the acre. I own the lot next to it which gives us 1.5 total. 1-acre is plenty for this layout and is actually perfect.

I remember you mentioning Joe Fairless on this post. I'm actually going to be on Joe's podcast this week discussing real estate investing. Looking forward to it.

House and work are actually getting published by 3 major magazine outlets over the course of 2019. I've shared the plans with one company and they are going to put them in their spread and I'll post once published. Reach out anytime, I'd be happy to help.

Happy 2019 REB

Hahah no way! That's awesome and I can't wait to hear it! It's funny reading our post above. I don't have a clue what I was worried about that day but Thursday the contract on our house hack went past the option, we're netting enough cash to pay off all our outstanding consumer debt and have some left over, the contract is in the hands of our local lender who was waiting on it to complete a cash out refi of our triplex which will leave us just over six figures cash and I have a third meeting tomorrow with an investor who is interested in partnering with me on a GREAT commercial deal I'm working!

Funny how little we notice the progress until we look back. Thanks for letting me know about the podcast, I'll be looking for it!

As a lover of all things MCM, this definitely gets my stamp of approval! We have a huge partial second floor addition project planned for our 1959 house, but right now we're stuck on FEMA making our area's tentative maps the approved ones. Something tells me they won't be back at work for a while though.

The only thing I'd have done differently on that project would be to put in a Subzero.

Thank you sir!

Hang in there - it will all be worth it once complete.

That a boy! Keep learning and putting deals together. Be smart but aggressive and always have an exit strategy. Keep me posted if you ever hear of any apartment syndications in your area.

I was on Joe's podcast today. Lots of fun but I got a little off track and fet a little all over the map. Tough to condense into 20 minutes but I'll work on it and get better.

Cheers,
