So our latest flip house is done and we have paid our general contractor and have a signed final lien release from him. Today I get a call from the company who installed the granite countertops stating that they have not been paid and have been getting the run around for the last 3 weeks. I reached out to the contractor and he said he was waiting on a check to clear and would send me a copy of the paid receipt. This is the excuse the granite people said he has been giving them as well.
We obviously don't want to mess with any liens as we have the house on the market but we also do not want to pony up the 5800 they are askimg for. What if anything can we do?
