Figured I'd ask any gurus on here before calling Department of Housing...

Sold my 4 acre lot in December 2016 - which happened to also have a Mobile Home that my late grandfather lived in on our property. Part of our closing was to include sale of mobile home. The SOL is quite simple to fill out, I signed and the buyer signed and it was 'gifted' to the new buyers. However, as per the Appraisal District (Ft. Bend County) it is still under my name.

I have gone back to the Realtor and requested that the buyer send in the documentation to the state. My question is what is my recourse if buyer doesn't send it in? I have a copy of the SOL signed by both of us - would it fall to me to send it in with the $55 required to change the title over? I'm thinking work case scenario is the new buyer never sends it in, I get tax statements for mobile home for '17, '18, etc. and I wouldn't know the better.

TIA

The county is probably just ridiculously slow switching it over.
