So many crosses, it's like 2005 barfed all over the house! Can't stand the clutter either.
edit: lol at the giant gun safe in the kid's Mickey Mouse themed bedroom

If you're going to have a whole bunch of clocks at least try and get two of them to tell the same time!

Don't mind the large hole in the ceiling while you are eating.

This might be the busiest bathroom I have ever seen.

This couch has seen some sh*t

The dual fans really compliment the stuff they refused to pick up off of the ground

I understand if you do not want to fix the pool but at the very least throw the bucket in the pool out.

I think it's nice, just needs a competent interior designer to come up with a plan to get all the WTF out of the place. Most of what's the now is all kinds of screwed up. Like something a deep East Texas lotto winner would have come up with.

OMG. Look at the my-kid-took-these photos on this listing. $1.65 million house and the listing agent can't spend a few hundred bucks on quality photos.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, because there's not a thing about that house that looks like it belongs on something listed for over $1.6 million.

literally nothing. I get maybe a desirable area, but not THAT desirable. That house is bland in almost every way.

30 year old home with a great view of a six story apartment complex out of the back yard? As close to I-10 as you can physically get and be in a single family home? .34 acre lot? Why not list it at 1.6?!?!

Home looks like a $400,000 home that you're racking 1.2 on for location and schools. Nuts to me. No character whatsoever. At that point, pay for the best private school and live somewhere you'll actually enjoy.

Not to mention property taxes on that thing at the 1.2 million valuation in HCAD means it's a hair under $31,000 in property taxes.

That house ain't my cup of tea but let's not go overboard.

The house is like 16 years old and it's on a large lot for that area. The dirt is probably close to a million on it's own.

Much smaller homes built in the 60's on smaller lots are selling for over a million around there. I would guess it gets at least $1.4M at the end of the day.

I also don't know where you're finding ~5,000 sqft homes with pools in the suburbs for $400K.

Well I had remembered a 1994 build instead of 2004. But either way, it's 4700 sq feet and while I'm more familiar with DFW markets, plenty of homes in suburbs for far below this. Just different suburbs.

Two in the same area, but hey, maybe Memorial high is worth the extra $700,000… https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/12902-Memorial-Dr-Houston-TX-77079/28023915_zpid/

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1302-Riverview-Cir-Houston-TX-77077/28185378_zpid/

Not in memorial (and not my cup of tea either) but you only asked for a pool in the suburbs… https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/20007-Sky-Hollow-Ln-Katy-TX-77450/28499009_zpid/

Call it $600,000 with an extra million for location. Either way, all the value is in location. I just can't fathom that view of an apt complex, that close to I-10 being worth that premium. At least you can walk to Chuy's! Obviously no one else can either cause it's been listed really often since the 2008 crash.

I'll agree the house I posted was BLAH.

You are paying for the land and the best public schools in Memorial... arguably the best, or among the very top, in Houston.

It looks like a builder home. Unfortunately, I think it's COH rather than Bunker Hill Village. If it were on one of the villages it would probably be more.

Holy **** that place needs to be featured on Mc Mansion Hell so bad! There's way too much going on there that is wrong to even try and unpack.

The decorating and color scheme for the 1st floor is straight out of the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey. It takes talent to put together something that awful!

My favorites were the sink at the top of the stairs and the French outside doors into the master bath. I didn't know it was possible to get so little useable home out of 4800 square feet. The kitchen and the main living area are less than what you see in many 2000 square foot homes. But I gotta say, the Kirklands dining table set right inside the front door is quite majestic.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

Once upon a time.... There was a sweet home on South Rosary, close to the Garcia St. Urban farm and facing the sunset. Goldilocks had been looking for a home all month... with multiple offers and mortgages that didn't fit. When she saw 2907 South Rosary, she loved the 1095 square foot. The home had three bedrooms for her family, two bathrooms a one car garage and a spacious yard. The neighborhood was perfect and she could walk to the Garcia street Urban market. She also loved how close it was to downtown San Antonio and shopping. An added bonus is that this home comes with solar panels that are paid off. The one car garage is perfect for storage of her car! The kitchen has a lot of storage and is efficiently organized. Goldilocks sat on the couch, and told her REALTOR, "I think this is JUST RIGHT!" She wrote and offer and lived happily ever after..........
