So, over a year and a half later, this house is back (still?) on the market, but now it's a foreclosure with a different agent. The pics are "better", in the sense that you can really see just how awesomely bad the faux finishes are.

I love the house, but that price... great googly-moogly.
I like what they did with that place, but I can tell that whoever did the closet needed to go back and have a second try at it. For that price I'd say you at least need functional schools but when property taxes are north of $20K/year you're probably going private anyway.

I've always wondered whether property taxes would continue to suppress housing costs over there but I guess the answer is *nope!* It has to seriously start to limit your pool of buyers once you reach $1K/month, let alone closer to double that for that place.

Warning: real estate photographer talk ahead

The photos look odd because the photographer used exposure blending software rather than doing it by hand or (better yet) using appropriate lighting. It's a quick way to control the exposure for the windows and lights (and lets you see that view outside), but you lose some of the shadows that would otherwise give a natural look to the foreground. I hate it and would never use that technique for an entire shoot, but it can come in handy if I've messed something up and can't make it back out to the property to fix it.

It's a shortcut, it's lazy, and very rarely is it executed well. The fact that you said these looked odd says everything. And I'll throw in my opinion that these shots are still better versions than what you'll typically see. I just expect more for that type of house.

Because it looks like the pooper used to be there, then they moved it over a few feet, andf put the tub where it used to be. Also, why is there a significant amount of plumbing on the far wall? It honestly looks like there usef tto be 3 toilets, and one h ad a spray hose.

Tha'ts where the washer and dryer were - you can see the outlet and air vent.

Basically whoever tiled the area was lazy as hell.
