The NCAA named Penny Davis its national coordinator of women's basketball officiating for all three divisions Monday. She replaces June Courteau, who retired in May.

avis has 22 years of officiating experience with NCAA Divisions I, II and III, the NAIA, the WNBA and the NBA Development League. She was an official for the NCAA Women's Final Four in 2015 and 2018, and had a 75-game regular-season schedule for several years at the college level.

"It's an honor to get to contribute to the future of the game through this role," Davis said. "Basketball has been the vehicle in my life that has delivered me so many gifts and opportunities."

Davis was on the basketball and track and field teams at Carnegie Mellon, where she graduated in 1997. Davis will work closely with the new associate director of women's basketball, Lynne Andrew, who also recently joined the NCAA.
