Lots of issues with the article but interesting way to look at the data. Wish they had a way to look at every team.

The real question is whether forced spending on women's sports eventually produces parity or not. This chart regrettably suggests it won't.

What happened to Louisiana Tech is that the administration failed to give Mulkey a 5 year deal after Barmore retired, opting to temp her to stay with a 4 year. She would have stayed with a 5 year deal offer. What does she do, she goes to Baylor.

It's an interesting alternative history to think about. Looking back, it's impressive that LaTech and the smaller schools stayed in the mix for as long as they did.

But it's far from clear to me that Kim could have saved LaTech from the long term disadvantages of being in a mid-major conference. And LaTech changed conferences from the Sun Belt to the WAC in Barmore's last year.

Kurt Budke, who took the LaTech job instead of Mulkey did a decent job there - good enough to be poached by OK State. He's the coach who died in the plane crash.

The UConn of the 80s

...yeah NO! WBB back then was pretty much a joke
With a few perennial powers...LATech was good but no where near the juggernaut that UConn has become...not even close!
Let’s Go Brandon!

How do you explain Baremore's highest winning percentage.
