HOUSTON- The Texas A&M women's basketball game against Houston, the first women's basketball game in the Cougars' renovated Fertitta Center, has been picked up for national television on ESPN2. The date of the game shifts to December 6, with tip set for 6 p.m.

This marks Texas A&M's first appearance on ESPN2 for a regular season non-conference game since November 2012, when the Aggies hosted No. 2 Connecticut at Reed Arena. It is the 48th Texas A&M women's basketball game to be broadcast on ESPN2 in program history.

This is the 60th meeting between the two programs, who both participated in the Southwest Conference from 1982-1996. The Aggies have won three straight games against Houston, winning 83-65 last season in Reed Arena. The two programs have not met in Houston since 2013, when the Aggies defeated UH 63-51 at Hofheinz Pavilion, prior to its renovation.

The Cougars went 20-12 last season, advancing to the WNIT. The Aggies went 26-10, and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the seventh time in program history.

The rest of the Aggies' non-conference schedule, as well as television selections for conference games, will be announced in the coming weeks as they are finalized.
