COLLEGE STATION- Texas A&M women's basketball has its 2019 SEC schedule set, as the league released each team's 16-game slate on Thursday.

The Aggies eight home games include contests against four teams that reached the 2018 NCAA TournamentLSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Tennessee. The Aggies reached the Sweet 16 of the 2018 Championship, posting a 26-10 record.

"We will have tremendous slate of eight home games, including Mississippi State, South Carolina and Tennessee, who are all in the early Top 25 projections," said Texas A&M head coach Gary Blair. "With this type of schedule, we need to have a huge season ticket rush, because our fans will not want to miss these games coming to Reed Arena."

For the second straight season, Texas A&M opens conference play against the 2017 National Champions, hosting South Carolina on January 3. It marks the fifth time in six seasons the Aggies open SEC play at home.

The Aggies then play four of their next five games on the road, starting January 6 at LSU. Texas A&M pays a visit to Vanderbilt's Memorial Gym on January 10, before returning home to face Alabama January 13, looking for an eighth win in eight tries against the Crimson Tide. Trips to Georgia on January 20 and Auburn on January 24 close out the four-of-five stretch.

Reed Arena is the site for A&M's next two games, hosting the first of two meetings against Kentucky on January 27 and the second matchup against Vanderbilt January 31. The Aggies head to Ole Miss on February 3 and Missouri on February 7.

Texas A&M closes out the regular season with four of their final six games at home, starting with a can't-miss three-game homestand. The Aggies close out their season series, looking for their sixth straight home win against LSU on February 14, followed by back-to-back NCAA Finalist Mississippi State on February 17. Tennessee pays a visit to Reed Arena on February 21, as the Aggies look to beat the Lady Vols for the fourth straight season.

The Aggies final road swing of the season starts with a Monday game at Florida on February 25, before wrapping the season series with Kentucky on February 28 in Lexington. The Aggies close the regular season on March 3, hosting Arkansas.

The SEC Tournament runs March 6-10, returning to Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. The Aggies are searching for their 14th straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018-19, as NCAA Tournament play commences March 22 at the home arenas of the 16 highest seeds.
