Las Vegas Makes Final Roster Decisions Prior To Start Of Regular Season

LAS VEGAS (May 17, 2018)The Las Vegas Aces waived guards Sydney Colson and Morgan William, and forward Valeriane Ayayi today, and placed Isabelle Harrison, Kelsey Plum and Kayla McBride on the temporarily suspended list. That brings the Aces roster down to 11 players, and the team expects to add a player prior to the season opener, Sunday, May 20 at Connecticut.
Colson is a four-year WNBA pro who spent the last three seasons with the San Antonio Stars. She has averaged 3.5 points and 2,2 assists during her 112-game WNBA career.
William went undrafted this season, and was signed by the Aces prior to the start of training camp. She is best known for draining the buzzer beater in the 2017 national semifinal game that ended UConn's stranglehold on the NCAA Championship. William led Mississippi State back to the title game in 2018 as well.
Ayayi never reported to training camp, and last played in the WNBA in the 2015 season with San Antonio, where she averaged 2.3 points and 1.8 rebounds in 16 games.
Harrison, Plum and McBride also did not report to training camp, but Plum and McBride will join the team following the conclusion of their Turkish League championship series. The best-of-five series is currently tied at one game apiece, with game three slated for Saturday, May 19.
