WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO HOST 5TH ANNUAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DAY VS. TCU

COLLEGE STATION- Texas A&M women's basketball hosts its fifth annual Elementary School Game on December 6 at 11 a.m. against TCU. Last year's edition of Elementary School Day drew 8,005 fans, over 5,000 of which were schoolchildren from local districts.

"This is our chance to give back to the school children in our community," said Texas A&M head coach Gary Blair. "A lot of these kids take field trips, and I can't think of a better field trip than to come to Texas A&M and see women's basketball at the highest level, since we're bringing in a quality opponent. We want the kids and the teachers to have a great time at Texas A&M."

Each version of Elementary School Day has featured over 7,000 fans and increasing attendance for one of the most popular promotions on the women's basketball schedule. Texas A&M's Elementary School Day averages 7,727 fans, making it the fifth-largest event of its kind nationwide.

Texas A&M holds a 33-4 advantage in the all-time series against TCU, but each of the last three seasons, the Aggies and Horned Frogs have played games decided by 11 points or less. Texas A&M defeated TCU 75-67 last season in Ft. Worth.

This really frustrates me. To use a marquee game for scream day. At least this year there are other non-conference home games worth seeing.

Scream game! One of our favorite games! The energy in the house is off the chart.

Liked last year with the reseating of season ticket holders and the extra tics to use later in the season.

Gig 'em, Gary!
