COLLEGE STATION- Texas A&M women's basketball released its 2017 non-conference schedule Friday, completing a 2017-18 slate that features up to 15 games against teams that made the 2017 NCAA Tournament and a school-record 18 home games.

"The schedule is loaded, as usual, with a cross-section of teams that were in the NCAA Tournament last year," said Texas A&M head coach Gary Blair. "We have great regional matchups at home, and the conference schedule might be the hardest we've had in six years in the SEC, facing both of last season's national finalists."

The Aggies are guaranteed to face five Power 5 schools in the non-conference portion of the season, including home games against West Virginia in the Big 12/SEC Challenge (Dec. 3) and TCU (Dec. 6). Texas A&M makes road stops at Texas Tech (Nov. 26) and Southern Cal (Dec. 15), each of which mark battles between schools that have won a National Championship. The Aggies face Oregon (Dec. 21) in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the previously-announced Duel in the Desert, one day after opening the tournament with Hawai'i (Dec. 20).

After a Nov. 6 exhibition game against defending NAIA Champion Oklahoma City, Texas A&M starts the regular season on Nov. 10 with the previously-announced Preseason WNIT, hosting Houston. The Aggies are guaranteed at least three home games in the WNIT, with home dates on Nov. 12 and Nov. 16. The Preseason WNIT concludes with the championship game on Nov. 19, which could be a home or a road contest.

In addition, the Aggies host four other teams that reached the 2017 postseason in non-conference; Sun Belt Champion and WNIT participant Little Rock (Nov. 22), WBI Champion Rice (Nov. 29), Southland Tournament Champion and NCAA Tournament participant Central Arkansas (Dec. 9) and WNIT participant SMU (Dec. 28) all visit Reed Arena. Prairie View (Nov. 28) rounds out the non-conference schedule.

Combined with the conference schedule, the Aggies face up to 21 teams with a Top 100 RPI in 2016-17, and up to 16 teams that won 20+ games last season. The Aggies host Kentucky (Jan. 4), Tennessee (Jan. 11), Georgia (Jan. 14), LSU (Jan. 22), Auburn (Feb. 4), Ole Miss (Feb. 8), Florida (Feb. 15) and Missouri (Feb. 25) in SEC play. Texas A&M makes road trips to South Carolina (Dec. 31), Auburn (Jan. 7), Alabama (Jan. 18), Vanderbilt (Jan. 28), Tennessee (Feb. 1), LSU (Feb. 11), Mississippi State (Feb. 18) and Arkansas (Feb. 22) in league play.
