She's just a natural scorer. She seemed to play more of the 2 guard during the tournament so it will be interesting to see how she fits in with coach Blair's set plays as a PG

At times I thought they had her playing the 3; that's what led to some bad defensive matchups.

She ended up leading the team in scoring for the overall tourney, averaging 16.1 ppg. Carter shot 50% overall from the field and hit 16/19 FTs.

On the U19 roster, Carter was one of 3 who did not have a season of NCAA experience already. The others were Megan Walker who's going to UConn and Christyn Williams, who is only 17 and graduates HS in 2018. Walker and Williams didn't play much.

After looking back at footage, she played the 3 mostly. To be one of the younger and inexperienced players, she played extremely well. The inside presence of Russia was just too much for this guard-oriented team. Carter should be fun to watch.
