Tennessee Hall of Famer Bridgette Gordon returns as assistant
Gordon, who played for the Lady Vols from 1985-89, will be taking the place of Jolette Law, as an assistant coach at University of Tennessee.

The University of Tennessee has a new assistant coach, and it's none other than 2001 Hall of Famer, Bridgette Gordon.
Gordon is no stranger to Lady Vols basketball. She finished her career at UT with the title of all-time leading scorer, but now sits at second after last season and Gordon is a two-time women's basketball All-American.
Gordon played at UT from 1985-89, and helped Tennessee to the Final Four in each of her four seasons and was the 1989 Final Four MVP.
The 50-year-old has quite an impressive resume, including playing professionally overseas in Italy, where she was a perennial all-star and won seven Italian Championships and two European Cups (1994 & 1996), and Turkey, before playing for the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs for two-years.
She gained many accolades over the years, including winning a Gold Medal at the 1988 Olympics, before fulfilling the role as a WNBA scout, and an assistant at Georgia State and Stetson.
Over the last seven seasons, she held the position of assistant coach at Wichita State and the last three as recruiting coordinator. She helped WSU to their first three NCAA Tournament appearances in school history.
Gordon is a gifted recruiter, and in addition to helping the Shockers land the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history in their 2012-13 class, she also served as a WNBA scout.
The former basketball star is eager to return to her alma mater, where she will be filling the opening created when Jolette Law left in June to join South Carolina's staff.
