Texas A&M announced the addition of Kayln Sticher as a Sports Performance Coach on Thursday. Sticher will work primarily with the women's basketball program.

"Kayln gives us the energy and the experience we are looking for in this position, and we're excited to have her," said Texas A&M women's basketball head coach Gary Blair. "She has worked with a number of sports teams and is a former basketball player, so she understand the rigors of going through a season."

"Coach Sticher's work ethic, enthusiasm, and ability to coach the whole student-athlete are unmatched," said Texas A&M Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance Tanna Burge. "She will add positive energy with sound technical performance development for our women's basketball student-athletes."

Sticher comes to Aggieland from Baylor, where she was an Athletic Performance and Nutrition Assistant in 2016-17. She designed and implemented the training program for the Baylor women's tennis program, as well as assisting with soccer, track, volleyball, acrobatics and softball. She also assisted in the sports nutrition for all Bear sports, including football, men's basketball and women's basketball. It was her second stint at Baylor, after serving as an intern during the summer of 2011, assisting with the Bears' Athletic Performance and Sports Nutrition efforts.

Sticher arrived at Baylor from Missouri, where she was Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning from 2013-16, working with the Tigers' women's tennis, men's & women's swimming, men's & women's track & field and gymnastics programs, in addition to assisting with the athletic performance program for football. She served on the Comprehensive Performance Council at Missouri, which is consistent with Texas A&M's Performance group that develops an integrated approach to serving student-athletes. She completed her master's degree in educational school and counseling psychology at Missouri in December of 2013.

Prior to her time at Missouri, Sticher was a student assistant in Strength & Conditioning at Northern Arizona from 2010-12, where she earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs for the Lumberjacks' women's swimming & diving, men's tennis and women's tennis programs. She also assisted in the strength and conditioning programs for football, men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball and soccer.

Sticher was a member of the women's basketball team at Northern Arizona, earning Golden Eagle Scholar-Athlete honors. She played two seasons at Black Hills (S.D.) State, helping the Yellow Jackets to two NAIA Division II Quarterfinals and earning a spot on the Dakota Athletic Conference Academic Scholars Honor Roll.

The daughter of Ross & Kim Sticher, Kayln was also a standout two-sport athlete at Kiowa High School.

Sticher is certified through both the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
