I had forgotten that SMU had a new HC after the previous one quit at 55 partly because she thought the players were becoming too entitled and less coachable. The new HC, Travis Mays played MBB at tu and then coached women at various places. He was assoc head coach for Alston at tu from 2012-2016.

They played on Saturday, losing to New Mexico in Albuquerque. Overall, they're 5-3, 3-0 at home.

I just bought a ticket. I don't get the chance to see A&M basketball too often. $25 for 2nd row center court.

refuses to use bench.......the insecure person on that court is Gary

he has done this for years....years ago Ky ran two line ups against us...won
anybody that keeps fresh legs is going to beat us....

we are 0-2 against teams who rotate.....the kids give us their hearts and never give up
but they just run out of steam and have no legs left

Looking at the game flow, SMU dominated us in the 1st half when both teams were "fresh". And we dominated the 2nd half, when we should have been "tired".

It's sad to say, but expect the same things against TCU. TCU actually beat SMU earlier this year. We have to stop turning over the ball so much and we really need a backup PG. Does anyone know why Cooper didn't play?

Turnovers were a KILLER!

But, we were in better shape than SMU. We played a much better second half than they did.

The Bench was not the issue.... In the First Half, we did NOT go inside at all.

We also sat in a 2-3 Zone when we have MUCH better talent than SMU!

Don't know, but in the postgame on radio Starkey mentioned that several girls had some kind of flu-like problem this week.

Sounds like a repeat of the last few years. It seems like the team always get sick around this time of year and early January.

I'm not sure flu-like symptoms are the reason we couldn't execute a set play at the endothelial at least get a decent look with 14s to go.

In the interview post, Coach Blair said that Taylor injured her knee and that they were initially afraid it was an ACL. It's not, and she should be back with a brace, but he didn't say when.
