Curious...do y'all segregate your longer term holdings (not set & forget, but plays like WWR) from your more active trading activity, or do you have it all in one account?

On one hand, I like the idea of having the two separated, but on the other, I like the ability to easily use long term holdings' gains towards more active trading use and vice versa.

If you use a margin account it is helpful to have your swing or longer term plays in the same account as your trading. Last week I had a margin call for my trading account thst amounts to less than 1% of the value of my other accounts at the same brokerage. I was more surprised that they didn't understand why I'd be confused by that. I had them move shares from another account to cover. I am moving a bit more into my trading account so I don't deal with this again.
