Just because something is at an all time high does not mean it has reached its global maximum. Just because something is low does not mean it has reached its global minimum.

Think of it like climbing a mountain. At some point, every step you take is an all time high up the mountain. Should you stop and turn around just because you're at an all time high? If you do turn around, what is to stop you from climbing again and summiting? Alternatively, if you're at base camp, you have the mountain ahead of you, but you can also go home.
