Short term growth? Retirement? Speculative plays?

What's a ****ton of Intel Stock? Have you divested any of it so as not to be over concentrated?

Do you have a family?

What do you do for a living?

I think a better understanding of what "short term" means in your situation is and what you'd like to use that money for.

If you're wanting a low barrier to entry investment vehicle pursuing return but accepting risk, find an index through VNG.

I'm a believer that investments ought to exist within the framework of a plan, so all those other things are important considerations in figuring out what the best next step is with your situation.

Best of luck for sure...lots of good Ags here that would be happy to help.

"Please help me. I don't know what to do with my company stock and all this money and 401k matching. All my tax havens are maxed and I'm drowning in excess cash flow. What does an Aggie do?"

I buy and hold sector ETFs with all of my excess cash and some hand picked stocks.

XAR, QTEC, SPYG.....

Commission free on TD Ameritrade and cuts out the slow growing BS like utilities. XAR and QTEC are equally weighted so smaller companies which are more volatile have increased influence compared to market cap weighted ETFs.

If you want to be hands off, throw it in a mutual fund/ETF for an area you like and let it grow, or pick something like FCNTX and forget about it

If you want to actually do trading / review short and medium term stocks and options, dive in to the stock market thread and learn. Tons of info on that thread

Over $50k could be $50k to infinity, so...

Also, if that's only after 3-5 years, that's a pretty nice chunk of change for the average person. Probably not the average person on this board, but the average person.

IMO, OP should be looking for long term investments unless he wants to move into trading. I don't trade personally, but I know that it takes time and research. A PM with a baby probably doesn't have the requisite time to devote to making large short term gains as a part time traded. Again, outside view looking in.

Liquidate all. 50/50 TSLA and gold.

TSLA is gambling. Living near a TSLA plant I hear plenty of horror stories about that place.

I guess the only question that hasn't been asked so far is risk tolerance. If you want short term growth with moderate risk I would think BMK response is the way to go. Look at sector ETFs.
