Anyone else a fan of The Profit?

The guy (Marcus Lemonis) goes into failing businesses and uses his own money/knowledge to try and turn the business around. (there is usually some sort of a deal in place where he then owns a portion of the company)

It airs on CNBC, but you can see it on places like Hulu too, I think.

They put some of the full episodes on the CNBC website if you want to watch a few:

The show is okay but usually the small business is failing because the owner is a complete moron. Marcus really only comes in with capital and common sense.

I like the show. It's shocking how these businesses lack accounting or managing cash flow.

I think the 2 big take aways from the series are this:
1) know your financials
2) it is incredibly helpful to have a decent amount of capital to use for purchasing functioning/better equipment and wholesale materials.

Although I do feel like Marcus spends half of each episode in more of a therapist role than a potential investor. Likely by the producers & the fact that it is still "structured" reality TV.
Thanks & Gig 'Em

All I know is I saw one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen on this show one time.

Larissa Swanson from the Swanson Fish Market episode.
