STORJ went nuts over the weekend... I took a small position when I set up my Node and it's doubled, plus some profits I took.

Feels like we're in a nice run. I'm not pulling any more profits for a few days unless I can catch a real good spike.

How difficult was it to setup a node? I have an old HP server just sitting around I need to do something with. I have an IT tech background.

I've poked around at setting up several different mining operations and gave up every time before STORJ. By far the easiest, especially if you've used powershell.

Big thing is you need a TB of space and some bandwidth.

edit: Also it's not a quick money-maker. You have to prove your node's reliability and then they'll slowly allocate you real traffic. I've seen people say it takes months. So far I'm only about 0.5% utilized 4 days in. I imagine you're going to see money in most protocols 4 days in so keep that in mind.

I'm currently only about 0.3% of my total portfolio in crypto. That is primarily because I have almost 25 years of money in traditional tax deferred and taxable accounts. So, it's going to take me some time to get that number to 1% which is my immediate goal.

I'm going to do what others have done though and cash out my fun money in pennies and plow that into crypto. Granted, that isn't much money either though. Currently, dollar cost averaging into BTC, LTC, and XLM every month.

They are for sure snakes. My FA firm is part of them now so I get their stuff by proxy so I have to hold my nose now a bit.

I think my favorite event that has happened this week (and is still on going) is Elon Musk displaying full on Dunning-Kruger effect about cryptocurrency on Twitter and getting absolutely roasted about it by everyone who has a clue.

Maybe he's just stressed and delirious from working with all of those very active Dogecoin developers

BAT seems useless since some updates with btc.

MANA seems fun, got some friends with property and casinos, but I don't see how if it's not bolted down [like bitcoin] that is doesn't get turned into what a censor demands.
