And, just like that the technicals go to hell.
Just saw the headline on last quarter being their slowest on record. I'm still going to buy calls out to June. 20 cents or less target, so $35 is less. June $34's just at better.Aggie_2463 said:
OA, so for those of us on the sidelines, you're saying jump on the Jd train now before it leaves the station?
This post reminds me of that "Burnt Ends" kid that dumped like $75K into ORIG a few years ago and was bragging about how he would retire in five years and then the company filed bankruptcy in two.Ag13 said:Ask me in 10 years!IrishTxAggie said:NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!!! Haha I'm good with just a couple hundred into Uber today. Not a shark over here. Will be a fun play to watch. Will certainly be a big market story the next few weeks (good or bad).IrishTxAggie said:This post reminds me of that "Burnt Ends" kid that dumped like $75K into ORIG a few years ago and was bragging about how he would retire in five years and then the company filed bankruptcy in two.Ag13 said:Ask me in 10 years!IrishTxAggie said:NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!!! RIG and SDRL are my two horses in the race based on their fleets alone. Debt is crippling these companies without an uptick in off-shore.jayelbee said:Prognightmare said:
RIG Jan 2020 $9 or Aug 2019 $8. I'm accumulating those.
Why so bullish on a Deepwater driller? RIG fleet is in one of the best positions, but fleet utilization is still around 60%, New contracts are still 1-4 well contracts and not 3-4 year contracts, and the day rates are at all time lows for UDW.
The only segment in drilling that is going well is harsh environment, and RIG is best positioned there, but those day rates are still only in the $300-400 range compared with $500-600 5 years ago.
All of that is to say I like RIG in the industry, but the industry stinks.
Any thoughts on DO? I assume negative thoughts based on (a well earned) industry perception.jayelbee said:Prognightmare said:

I agree. The entire market either takes a big dump, or pops the cork on the champagne. No in betweenE said:
