That's why I'm me and OA is OA. I'm still waiting to buy below 25 for long term. Just be sitting here twiddling my thumbs while y'all are making a ROI.
I thought they'd be bad earnings because China is struggling.

I haven't traded it at all yet but I follow it because of this thread. I was with you and nervous about their earnings with all the China drama taking place. That being said, they had a good qtr and any weakness due to the market will make this a screaming buy, IMO. I'll buy it on any dip to $27 over the next 2 months.

Catching up on some reading back through the thread.

No words for the person who says their portfolio is down 60% in a couple of days. How do you even do that! That's talent, but mainly that's ignoring what we've been posting about sidelining most cash. Even my managed 401k/SEP accounts were at 40%-95% cash, depending on hedge status.

Now those are 30-50% cash after the gap fill entry, but all but one buy bounced well enough to enter hedges. MCHP, DE, NVDA, MSFT, JD and TEUM we're primary buys.

The Trump comments are out of some field further than left. When Chuck Schumer finally throws in the towel and backs Trump in the China trade talks you know water is freezing in hell.

As for the markets it's a traders paradise. Hope the others portfolios haven't taken much of a hit, but the opportunities for 100% plus ROI are in our world daily - not over "x" number of years.

Let's talk about trades that go bad. OSTK update. Posted entering at $13 Tuesday ahead of earnings. Stock drops to $12.15 on eve of earnings but due to premiums always being inflated I was able to sell $13 covered calls for $1.07 I was going to be content to hold the stock at a net $12 entry longer term.

Earnings came out as a mixed back but not terrible so I tried to buy back the covered call when OSTK dropped under $12. I was at 40 cents and some fills happened there but none of mine before OSTK took off higher.

Fills would have netted me $607 per 1000 shares PLUS the stock close at $13.45 would have ended +$445 per k shares for a total $1045 per thousand shares.

But because I couldn't get covered calls closed below $1 and because of current market conditions I am not willing to sell those I stand to end up with a net zero gain/loss exit end of today. UNLESS OSTK backslides below $13. Then things will get interesting again.

Anyways, I wanted to share that even when trades go against you you don't have to sit idly.

People not in JD should hope for market suppressing it close to $29 and then suggest targeting a $35 June 21 call.

No trade deal then all bets off. Still unclear what would be next level should 2836 gap not give more than a quick trade bounce.

We'll call the post wild move consolidation Triangle point formation the "Model T". On JD that mark is around $29.12 but remember the Triangle formed above the close so after hitting near their upward movement usually occurs. With futures and being a Friday its less predictable. It hit $29.20 and bounced to above $29.50.

Will be eyeing PINS June 21st $32 Strike calls.

I have 5/17 $29 short puts. What would your strategy be on these? Close them out or let them ride? Net entry would be about $27.80 if I get called.

Any thoughts on Med stocks? I have some longer term money sitting in FSMEX and it's done jack **** over the past 6 months while my FCNTX and semiconductor one has been great...

I was at $1.75 the majority of the afternoon and never got a fill.

Why a strike date that far out?

100s of companies out there that will out perform Uber over the next 10 years. They just entered the arena as 3rd largest valuation for an IPO in US history and are bleeding cash a hell of a lot faster than Facebook and Alibaba did on their IPOs.

I chuckled pretty loud at that.

Med stocks should continue to under perform with all the socialist dumbasses running for president shouting "medicare for all" bull***** Easier places to make money instead of parking it there. JMO
