We are in Tamarindo. It's touristy, but comfortable. Easy access to beaches and gentle waves. We've enjoyed it so far.

AGBU, we're on day 7 in CR. We went to Puerto Viejo first and are now in Manuel Antonio. It's our first time to both, but I'm not sure PV is worth the drive. We weren't that impressed with it and the drive is pretty brutal. We stayed in Turrialba on the way to the Pacific and went to the Irazu and Turriaba volcanoes. I would highly recommend that area as the scenery and elevation is unbelievable.

Hate to hear that about Puerto Viejo. Hopefully the rain has cooperated with you. I have wondered about Irazu and Turrialba since we will be in that region. Glad to hear they are enjoyable. Enjoy Quepos. If I recall the farmers market is in Saturday there across rom the marina. You aren't too far from Matapalo. That has been my favorite area due to the seclusion.

I own a condo on Jaco beach and three charter fishing boats if you're interested.

We have two families looking to come to CR over the Christmas Break. We're related so the room breakdown ideally works like this:

Room 1: Parents
Room 2: Parents
Room 3: Girls - 2 over 18, one 17
Room 4: Boys - 1 over 18, one 13

It looks like your penthouse is close but not perfect. Do you have an in with any other owners in the building?

The guys would also be interested in a charter fishing trip as well. Most likely a 1/2 or 3/4 day.

My email is in my profile if you want to reach out directly.

What is June weather like? Would probably be looking at some time in monteverde area and then along pacific coast. Looks like it will typically rain some, but not usually all day?

Starting to explore anniversary ideas for next year…

I didn't specifically look up June - but when it rains, it is not usually all day. It is usually short bursts of downpour followed by ridiculous humidity. It rained every day we were there, but never more than 10-20 minutes at a time.

June is not considered part of the dry season there. So, I think it could be hit or miss. The northwestern part of the country, around Tamarindo/Liberia etc is typically still dry this time of year. I went in July and had about 30 minutes of rain over the course of four days. I am not sure how Monteverde would be during that time. Pack a poncho and you should be good for any tours in that area.
