Some place all inclusive with white sand & blue water. No rugrats. Where the beer flows like wine.

The catch: I'm borderline lolpoor.

All inclusive adults only Cancun. I'm not saying it's the best but it meets your criteria.

Turks and Caicos / Dominican Republic hit that criteria (other than lolpoor)

We are headed to St Lucia soon.

Make sure you check the evolving COVID restrictions and have a good trip insurance policy (I used to not believe in these, but it save my ass last year).

Depends what your budget is but Valentin (not very budget), Catalonia Royal Tulum, Ocean Maya Royale. El Dorado resorts for sure if they are in your price point. I typically do not quote Ocean resorts unless it is all that fits in their budget. I'll keep thinking.

Turks and Caicos is awesome, but I wouldn't say it's the most bang for your buck. It can get quite pricy if you are staying somewhere nice. I feel like St John, USVI is one of the better Caribbean values.

I would say STJ is on a par with Providencialis as far as restaurants and groceries are concerned. I think the OP should look at Belize, maybe San Pedro. Nicaragua was pretty cheap as well and the people were pretty friendly.

Gotta consider flights...Mexico is cheap. The other islands are a bit more expensive to fly to.

if that's you, i think you could travel for very little in the way of monetary compensation.

How lolpoor? Excellence Riveria Cancun and staying in the cheapest room isn't bad at all. You don't have to leave the resort.

What dates? I'll do a quick look to see what I can find. I think this is doable for 4 nights depending on flight cost. And what airport?

For ~2K all-in, you're only option is Cancun. Expedia shows a couple of packages that meet your criteria.

This format is hideous - but at quick search. United (layover flights) from Sat to PVR. Airport transfers would be about $60-$100 roundtrip. I stayed at Hard Rock in November. It was pretty decent, but my least favorite out of all the HR's. These will all have rugrats running round so keep that in mind.

Racer, are you single/traveling with a significant other?

Because you're going to want a different all inclusive experience as a solo traveler than someone whose bringing along their wife.

I think the hard rock cancun is known for being a party bar. I think also silversands is as well.

I didn't list it, but there is one adults only in PVR that was in budget - Crown Paradise (won't be anything fancy)

(note all this pricing is assuming there are 2 people). It would be cheaper if just 1.

I'll be w the girlfriend. Still would need to get her approval. I don't want to party too hard. Prefer not tons of college kids.

Sadly you may have a bunch because school is going to be out. You probably would have less so at Hard Rock and Now Amber (but both would have kids).

FYI the pricing above is on United Vacations.

Jmac- explain unico not being inclusive going forward? Are they becoming a non all inclusive resort?

Excellence Rivera Cancun smokes all of these recommendations and your dates work out to $1158 total. That's 850 to get to Cancun and back. You can do that.

Go there. There are no compromises at Excellence. You won't spend the weekend apologizing to your girlfriend for not upgrading.

Playa del Carmen is cheaper. Bang for the buck.

They are only getting rid of their 25% inclusions (so pay 25% of a massage). That ends tomorrow. So basically no discounts on spa or excursions. They are still all-inclusive.

Adding - if you book by tomorrow evening then you have those inclusions on your booking. They don't have to be used by tomorrow.

Palace used to have something similar and they did away with it during Covid.

I second Excellence Rivera Cancun. It's great. Actually taking my family to the Finest Playa Mujeres over Memorial Day weekend. It's the same brand as Excellence, just family friendly. I highly recommend upgrading to the Excellence Club if at all possible. The perks are definitely worth it.

How's the food there? One of my friend who just got back said that the presentation and ambience is nice but the food itself was basically Chili's quality.

Can't speak to any quality dips this last year or so, as the last time I went was before COVID. Food was great then. There was definitely different tiers. The French restaurant and the Hibachi grill were their top quality fine dining restaurants. I wasn't impressed with the steakhouse, but I can understand why an all inclusive isn't buying the best cuts just to eat the cost. The tapas bar was great and the Barcelona restaurant had really good Italian and incredible breakfast.

As far as all inclusives go, the food was great. The alcohol is great as well, but you've got to request the liquors you want. If you just order a house marg they're going to give you the cheap stuff. But if you say, I want a Don Julio Blanco and the Gran Marnier marg, they're going to whip that up no problem. Also, order icebergs. It's frozen marg floating on top of beer. And it was super easy to suck those down at the swim up bar on a hot day.

Has anyone been to the Royalton White Sands in Jamaica lately? Wife and I are looking at a possible quick trip down there in a couple weeks.

Royalton's are really struggling across the board right now. I do my best not to quote them if at all possible. I've heard DO NOT stay at Blue Waters from several agents.

I haven't been recently but I was just on a call with my representative with Royalton resorts and they were very eager to start seeing travel pick back up especially in Jamaica!

I love the Royalton brand and I think it is very affordable with great service, food and accommodations. In Jamaica, they are very comparable to Secrets and Dreams brand.

I don't think they have it at White Sands but they sometimes have Hideaway at Royalton which is an adults only section of the resort that is a big seller.

We have been to Punta Cana, DR multiple times using cheapcarribean.com that packages flight/all inclusive for two people, four nights from Houston for a thousand per person all in.

Flight from San Antonio to Hobby are cheap. While it's not all inclusive, with all the money you save you can pig out at Kitty's Purple Cow and Red Snapper Inn during your entire trip. Think about it.
