Go back to Costa Rica. Guanacaste peninsula is amazing and just a 20-30 minute drive from the airport in Liberia. I always want to try nw things but enjoy Costa Rica so much we always end up back there.

So pretty much anywhere in the Lower 48 or Mexico except for Seattle or Puerto Rico.

Edit. I just realized your flight time of 3.5 hour or less. I guess that knocks this option out but I would still consider it if I were you.

Also, not sure what your budget is but check out El Dorado Palafitos Overwater Bungalows or El Dorado Casitas

Belize is also nice - Ka'ana or Turtle Inn are favorites

I'm assuming you are asking about Antigua, Guatemala....not the island....since Guatemala was discussed earlier in the thread.

You would fly to Guatemala City and then take the shuttle from the airport to Antigua, which is about 45 minutes away. You can also take an Uber, which would run you about 40 USD. I lived in Guatemala City for seven years and spent countless weekends in Antigua. The city is a Unesco World Heritage site with tons of great cafes, restaurants, and bars.

If you aren't talking about Guatemala and instead the Caribbean Island, no there are not direct flights. Almost all connect through Miami for the lower Caribbean islands (there are some others they connect through, but nothing direct from Texas)

Cozumel Palace

Close to town for walking to restaurants and the accommodations are immaculate. All rooms are a junior suite with a jacuzzi in the room and the food was excellent.

Cozumel with a 5k yeah no ?

If you are asking if you can do Cozumel under $5k - absolutely. Quite a bit under it for sure depending how long you stay.

I've done a week for around $3k. Including flights and rental car.

This is a fun premise. I've always wanted to go to the airport on the day of travel with this type of question... just see what's available and go there. Never been brave enough to do it though.
