Has anyone been recently? Possibly looking at going in December so curious about if there are shows that are running, other attractions and restaurants that are open.

Been twice recently; late July & early November. Stayed at MGM Grand.
The entire ambiance has changed for the worse, IMO. Lots of visitors that I saw appear to be there only because they got a $99 r/t airfare.
Plenty of spandex on the chubby ones (there were a lot!) and slippers. Just a different crowd altogether.
Casinos pretty dead during the week, and the sportsbook was nothing like past college & NFL football weekends.
Yep, been there 4 or 5 times this year and the clientele is enough to keep me away (unless I have to go back for work again which is probably 2 weeks away - lots of companies bailing out of California and parking their data center assets in Las Vegas).Yesterday said:82 Ag said:

For sure. I'm glad people are getting to see Vegas probably for the first time because it's so cheap but the sexy luxurious vibe has left. Atmosphere is terrible. My wife and I still had a nice time relaxing but it was very meh. Would rather go to the Caribbean to relax.
Funniest thing I've read all day (and the absolute truth).blindey said:
Follow up for Sunday night: once the California overnight crowd that was here for Saturday clears out, this place is a ghost town and the strip smells like weed.

One last thing: the number of visibly completely able bodied people rolling around on rascal scooters is stunning. Really don't understand that. Not talking just people that are old or overweight. Young otherwise fit people.
What's up with that, who are these people? Where are they getting these things at? That's pretty ridiculous. Do they not have those stand-up Birds/Limes or something? Or are these Rascals just sitting around at every corner like the 2-wheeled scooters?Yesterday said:blindey said:

Noticed that too. Terrible.

No Bird/Lime scooters. No idea where the rascal scooters are coming from but they are everywhere. Don't want to comment on the typical able-bodied clientele that I saw based on current moderation standards of this website.

It depends. Some of the bars in the casinos did.Diggity said:
so the bars require reservations too?
