No kids. Fianc and a 1 year old pup. More than likely going to make it a hiking trip while we are there.

501 Prime was great back in the summer. The band upstairs was a little cheesy but fun.

I think most of the hiking would be further north at Devil Den and Petite Jean State Parks. The weather and fall foliage should be great. One of my favorite displays of Xmas lights at Galvan Gardens wont be happening this year I dont expect looking at their website.

Ohio Club has good burgers and someone mentioned 501Prime for steaks. Golf in the Village is really good courses.

One of the best hikes and spots in Hawksbill Crag which is in Whitiker Point but it is 3 hours plus away but if you decide to see the NW Arkansas area it would be a great stop on way up from Hot Springs. You have some breweries created from previous bathhouses but Central Ave going thru the National Park is pretty underwhelming IMO.

Other than enjoying the lake, best thing there.

Following this thread. We'll be at Hot Springs the week of Thanksgiving, Nov 21-28. We are driving the RV and staying at Catherine's Landing just SE of town. Looking for fun things to do with three kids (ages 9, 8, 4). Garvan Gardens looks fun and we'll definitely check out Hot Springs NP. Thinking about a day trip to Petit Jean State Park as well.

We love Galvan Gardens especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas time. They have a great light show you walk through that kids would love. I just don't think they are doing it this year due to Covid but you can check.

With kids I would suggest the mid America science museum in Hot Springs. It is pretty good and if you buy the family pass the reciprocal agreements with ones across Texas such as Perot Museum and McDonald's observatory and NASA make it well worth it
As for the national park it isn't really what you would expect. Bathhouses and some trails but kinda underwhelming as a national park. Take the scenic drive to Petite Jean. The leaves should be a great color at that time. Kids will like Kilwins Ice Cream on Central Ave that cuts thru the park.

Edit to add they also have a observatory tower which would be great during the fall foliage I imagine and as the person said the lake is great just not the best season to do it

It's great any time. They have scavenger hunts, a little train, and all kinds of stuff for the kids.

We were bummed the chapel was closed when we were there. The gardens were beautiful.

play golf!

Cheap and really nice courses.

Casino is fun too. We ate/drank at the bathhouse brewery, pretty good.
