We all have great places to visit what is your most serene, passive or mesmerizing spot. This spot could be your backyard.
Mine would either be Mother Teresa's clinc o the Tigers Nest.

For absolute quiet and desolate peacefulness, the north end of the Mariscal Anticline in Big Bend near the mine is one of the quietest places I have ever been. I remember going there on a Geology Club trip back in the early 90s, and while everybody else was checking out the mine, I walked a path around the north side of the hill and just sat watching the desert for a while. It was so quiet, all I could hear was the tinnitus in my ears. No cars, no planes, no machinery...just a soft breeze and endless view.

For relaxation, I like Little Cayman. laying in a hammock in the afternoon under a thatched cover listening to the waves on the reef and the palms rustling while all the dive boats (and divers) are around the north side of the island.

Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. Sat by a mountain stream and ate a sandwich completely alone. Never felt something so comfortable in my life.

Second place: a rice field in Bali I stumbled upon. Watched the sunset while some guys worked in the field with Mt Agung in the background. It was pretty damn great.

Sitting on the continental divide in the Weminuche Wilderness. Just hiked 4 miles at 12 - 13,000 feet. Cool, a light breeze, just a perfect place to contemplate life.

A deer stand west of Concan, TX at sunrise. Watching the mist burn off. Hearing the turkeys wake up and nature come to life around you.
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But, it's still on the list.

I've had quite a few but some of the best:

Sunrise from our bivy ledge on Torment Peak Washington

The Gothic Range British Columbia. Expedition to ski Mt Sir Sanford.

The Cosmique Arete atop the Aiguille du Midi, in Chamonix France. Usually, crowded but my wife and I climbed it on our Honeymoon it was late enough in the day we were the only ones up there. A spectacular view on Monte Blanc in the background.

Normandy American Cemetery. Hard to describe, but it was a very peaceful place not because of solitude or the landscape, but what it represents.
