Towards the end of May? Have 2 nights to check out the city so would like something with plenty of things to do close by. Any recommendations?

Stayed at the Carles Hotel, very reasonable price, breakfast included, and centrally located. Would recommend. Also stayed at the Park Hyatt on points, beautiful space if money is not an issue.

La Carniceria, Uber there, need a reservation (have hotel make it or try Facebook messenger). Could do wine tasting beforehand at Pain et Vin. Both were excellent in the Palermo neighborhood
These are all in walking distance of Retiro/recoleta
Farinelli for breakfast or lunch
Let Pain Quotitien
Roux for lunch or dinner

We stayed at the Alvear Palace Hotel in Recoleta a year ago and loved it ..rides to get around are fairly cheap.

Sileo hotel is an affordable boutique hotel that backs up to the Recoleta cemetery. Great location and nice hotel. Easy walking distance to many attractions. If you want to go further, taxis are cheap in BA

Highly recommend just using AirBNB, you get in better neighborhoods and prices tend to be cheaper.

I'll be there for 6 nights in July and have a split 3 nights between two areas of town.
