Is it difficult to get one of these if you're not a business owner? My plan is to to get this and a personal card in November or December to get a head start on a companion pass for 2020/2021.

Have you sold something on Ebay? Congrats, you're a business owner.

We have both the Southwest Chase Personal and Business cards. For the business card, you will either have to provide the business EIN number (for the credit check against the business) OR provide a SSN in the case of a Sole Prop and not an LLC/Corp. If you don't have an EIN and have to provide a SSN, they'll reject either the Personal or the Business app (whichever you do second) as they will only allow you to have one under a SSN. Just a heads up there.
You can try to wire around the meter by putting your SSN on one application and your spouse's on the other but you won't be able to add either of you as an additional card holder on the opposite account since they also ask for the additional card holder's SSN.

Oh. Thanks. That's the kind of info I'm looking for. Does it make sense to get an EIN if there really isn't much of a business? Is that expensive? Would a new "company" with no revenue pass a credit check?

yeh.. This is the first I'm hearing of only getting 1 of biz or personal with a single ssn. If that's the case, I wasted my time for the biz card I applied for with my ssn a week ago.. still no reply on that one.BSD said:
So now I'm getting conflicting info.
One poster says SW chase policy will only give one card for a SSN and others say they'll do both credit cards under one SSN.
I guess I better call.
What is your source on this? I was under the impression this how many people accomplish getting both cards (using same ssn)AgProgrammer said:

does it need to be 24 months + 30 days after sign up date, or is it wiped clean on the 1st day of 25th month?SoupNazi2001 said:62strat said:
I just got my rejection letter for business today. Said I have too many cards. My oldest card (the 5th) is exactly from 24 months ago, march 17.. maybe I have to wait until april.
Yes you would have to wait until the 25th month for the 5/24 rule.

The SW Biz performance card has an 80000 point signup bonus that expires Oct 16. My suggestion would be to apply for that offer before it expires.

My guess is that 80K was an intro bonus since its a brand new card. I would guess that the regular bonus will be 50 or 60K after 3k spend.
