Flew out to Cancun on a Max 9 and supposed to fly home on one Sunday. Things ought to be interesting as all the airlines scramble to find replacement planes since they have been grounded.

80% of the Max users are in Europe or Asia. It shouldn't affect domestic flights that much. Southwest's dispute with their mechanics union is a bigger issue domestically.

We were scheduled to fly home from Antigua today (ANU > MIA > IAH) after a nice week on our boat. American canceled our flight ANU > MIA... Now we are flying coach to Trini then Trini to JFK on Carib Air then catching American from JFK > Charlotte and finally home to IAH. Tried to find private charter last minute but availability was soaked up quicker than we could book... so, now we are locked in for a long night of travel...

A small percentage of flights will be affected. Just 4 percent of Southwest's daily flights are Max 8; American has 90 Max 8 flights a day out of 6,700 flights, and United has 40 daily flights on the bigger Max 9, out of 4,700 daily flights.

Supposed to fly on AA from Miami to Bridgetown on Tuesday, on a Max. AA has three direct flights a day on that route, and all are on Maxes.

AA hasn't said if they are cancelling all 3 flights, or simply swapping the planes out for another type, and flying the same schedules.
