Wife and I have SW points to burn with companion pass and we also have a decent amount of Hyatt points to use also.

We went to New York over the summer.

I am considering going to the Aggie bowl game if it's in Tampa, but was curious for this time of year if anyone else has made any short trips they've enjoyed.

I am considering writing down about 5 cities on paper and drawing it out of a hat. Sometimes the hardest part about planning a trip is picking the destination.

We are not averse to the cold, but we don't mind warm places either.

Ive done Denver twice this year on SW and had a blast.

Phoenix/Scottsdale.

Electric Desert at the Desert Botanical Gardens is a great experience, and Scottsdale has several top-notch spas, if your wife is into that. A day trip to Sedona would be fun...this is a great time of year for hiking over there.

Have done the Hyatt Huntington Beach for long weekends for similar type trips.

I"m intrigued by this place. What are things you like to do while there?

We've done Vegas, San Fransisco, and we'll do San Diego this year. We aren't wild about the cold, so we try to go to warmer destinations where we don't have to worry about getting snowed in.

We also did Jamaica for three nights last year over that time. It was perfect weather.

Now that A&M didn't make the outback bowl I'm definitely gonna be taking one of these trips instead.

Fly to Phoenix, rent car and go to Prescott.
It is a great 3 day trip and the food is incredible.

Stay at hassayampa inn ...but don't stay in room 426.

Looking at flying to Phoenix and possibly staying at the Hyatt in Sedona.

Stayed 3 nights at that Hyatt in October. Really nice and Sedona was a lot of fun. Great hiking and restaurants.
