What should I do and where should I stay?

Background story: extending a weekend with the wife. Arriving Friday afternoon, leaving Sunday.

Stay on the coast.

The Ritz in Laguna is nice as is the Montage. North you can stay at the W.

Los Angeles is huge. Where are you located? I live here.

And where are you flying in and out of?

Flying into and out of lax. It's a get away weekend so want a mix of tourist spot, good food/drinks/music and just some chill time. Lots to ask for in 48 hours I know.

Hermosa beach seemed to have lots to do but the hotels close looked cheap.

I was going to suggest hermosa beach. Def stay on the westside west of 405. Chill over there and enjoy the cali lifestyle

For touristy things most of those are in Hollywood area. It's 30-45 mins from you.

Live music spots at night upscale and local type food options. Right near beach so got that. Shopping around Manhattan beach as well.

Looking at using points to stay at the Le Meridan in Santa Monica. Spend a day walking around the area, maybe drive to Manhattan/Hersoma beaches and then a day doing Hollywood/Beverly Hills.

That's perfect. Nice hotel. Perfect spot. Do it.

Go to father's office and order the burger. Literally the best burger I've ever had, and quite a few good beers on tap as well.

Don't forget to walk thru the craziness of Venice beach boardwalk.

Check out the skateboarders and folks lifting weights. I saw Chris Paul and Kevin hart and jack black shooing a commercial
There a few months ago.

Also abbot Kenny Blvd in Venice about 4 blocks from beach was named Americas coolest street. Check it out.

One more...where to watch football on Saturday. We'll like be in the Hollywood/Beverly Hills area during the day (Auburn-Georgia) and back in Santa Monica in the evening (Miami-Clemson, Ohio State-Wisconsin).
