Taking trip to southern Cal looking to stay close to beach between San Diego and Disneyland. Looking at okder oceanfront cindo resort in Oceanside or a townhouse in San Clemente. How much nicer is San Clemente and is Oceanside even worth staying in? Also any souther Cal must dos are appreciated. Havent been in a while. Thanks!

San Clemente. Oceanside is kind of a dump. And SC is closer to Laguna Beach, which is really nice.

San Clemente is far better

I live on the border of Oceanside and Carlsbad village.

San Clemente is far nicer than Oside. But I like Oceanside. It's a saltier place, but that reminds me of home, so I kinda like it.

And Laguna, as mentioned, is a world class beach. Coyote grill has good food. Dana Point is also really close.

Carlsbad is also really nice and there is Legoland if that interests your kid.

Pfft if you're loaded down with kids. I love Oside. Go running on the beach here multiple times a week.

Ritz is in Dana Point

if you stay in san clemente, you must eat at Nick's.

San Clemente and it's not even close

I'd skip both and stay in Laguna or Newport.. both very walkable cities with great beaches and food.

Fisherman in San Clement is awesome on the pier.
