Anyone done it at Angel Fire, Taos, or Ruidiso? Or snow mobiling?

Looking for recommendations or the places to avoid.
Going mid December '17

thanks

Definitely do snowmobiling. Avoid snow tubing if you can.

We did it in Ruidoso a few years ago. My kids enjoyed it.

I haven't used it personally, but Angel Fire has a fairly large tubing hill with magic carpet lift. People using it always look like they are having fun.

Do you have kids? That would be about the only reason I would consider tubing over snowmobiling.

Red River or Angel Fire are your best bets. They both have tubing and snowmobiling, and should have more snow than Ruidosa that time of year. They will probably be open for limited skiing mid December, depending on snowfall of course.

Taos Ski Valley is more expensive to stay at and generally has less for kids to do, but they should have more snow (and the skiing is infinitely better than the rest of New Mexico).

We went snow tubing when we were in Ruidoso. Everyone enjoyed it.

Thanks for the recommendations, we are going to try Angel Fire.
