I received several PM's so I am going to try to sort these as fair as possible based on response time and travel date. I don't want to put all eggs in one basket for a January travel date to see them not confirmed. So I might start with earliest travel date and keep moving until someone is able to clear the upgrade list.

I'll clarify that these SWUs should be used on international travel, and they are only valid on "AA metal"...meaning not on another OneWorld plane.

I have two I keep trying to use. It's hard to find an open seat in business and first on international flights these days. Flew Bogota to DFW this morning and no joy

I fly DFW to Frankfurt (AA 70) September 27 and back to DFW on October 1 (AA 71). Booked and confirmed in coach.

-Upgrades are only available on AA metal (an AA plane, not code share like BA)
-Best opportunities are on international flights (excluding Mexico and Caribbean), otherwise you will be slotted on the upgrade list with all upper-tier status passengers using their free upgrades.

Might be using my miles to get to Lima, Peru to hike MP end of this month or early December. Likely confirming it this Friday. If you use miles can you still use the upgrade?
