Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-lake in Canada. The whirlpools are also very cool along the gorge.

There's a pretty little town called Lewiston just north of Niagara Falls that has a great venue called ArtPark - see if anything's playing. If you take the River Road all the way through Youngstown you can visit Old Ft Niagara which is very interesting and beautiful. You'll see a lot of historical markers along the roads in those towns- French&Indian war, war of 1812, Revolutionary war, and Underground Railroad markers.
