Howdy. Friend and I are thinking about making a trip to see the Northern Lights and am wondering if anyone has any advice? Quick googling seems to show that Yellowknife is one of, if not THE place to go.

Anyone done this already? Any advice on that location or any better ones as well as airfare, lodging, meals tips would be great.

Norway would probably be best.

Went to Iceland and Northern Sweden in December. Download one of the Auroa apps for your phone. They give sun activity forecasts that are pretty accurate.
Iceland is pretty easy to get to and the weather is a lot warmer. The biggest problem we had was matching up the sun activity with a clear night.
