Has anyone bought one of the City Passes for NYC? Worth it?

I'm overwhelmed planning this trip.

Also, is the subway confusing or will we catch on pretty quick?

I'm in the city a few times a week for work. If you have Google maps on your phone you'll figure out the Subway basically instantly. Follow the signs at the stations for transfers and understand the difference between uptown and downtown and you'll be fine.

No idea on City Passes. Have fun... NYC is a great city... make time to just walk the neighborhoods in Manhattan too!

I'm gonna piggy back onto this thread. My gf are going to NYC in 2 weeks and staying in the Upper East side. Does anyone have recs on really good/unique bars or restaurants? We don't mind subways or making a little trek out if it's worth it

I was totally blown away. I thought I'd be in a boring boat, going slow, blah, blah blah. NOPE. This tour rocked. Look at the number of "Excellent" reviews on Trip Advisor if you don't believe me.

Walks of New York. We did their Disney on Broadway tour and the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island/911 Museum tour. Both were excellent.

My wife and I have been going to NYC annually for the last 6 years and this has been on my list. Problem is we go the week after Thanksgiving. Do yo think it would be too cold to do this?

No matter what the weather, they have you covered - - literally. They provide all the cold weather gear and it worked great for us in late November.

Another thing, the seats on their boats are incredible. You straddle them and there is a bar in front of you to grip for safety/comfort. The seats are on special "wave dampening" hydraulics. Very comfortable/relaxing and almost like your riding a gently galloping horse while you zoom at breakneck speed on around NY Harbor. It is so cool!

Did a week in NYC in June '16. Highly recommend the New York Pass, www.newyorkpass.com -- you purchase per day, over per attraction.

Purchased 7 days online for myself and 3 kids...picked up upon arrival into Times Square at Madame Toussaud's. Also included with the pass were 2 days of bus tours, which meant we could "hop on and off" the big red double decker tour buses throughout the city during those selected days-- saving subway and taxi fares.

More options and flexible than the City Pass.
