We will be there in September for a wedding in Banff. We would like to fly in to Vancouver and then drive to that area. Most likely stop a couple of nights along the way. Does anyone have any experience doing this that they would be willing to share? Thanks!

Hope, BC is a great last stop before Banff, they have a great chalet motel but for the life of me I can't remember the name.

Drove the opposite last summer. I think I wrote a bunch about it, search for my username. Depending how much time you have, I recommend hitting the wine country then up through golden and east from there.

Banff to Jasper is one of the most scenic drives in the world. Flying into Calgary would be a lot easier as far as getting to Banff goes.
